-Feb 1-3, 2010

My sister and I spent 3 days in Bali this month. We stayed in nano&yanti’s house in Pecatu and were lent their motor bike. So… let’s have a ride…

We went to Kuta Beach on the second day of our trip (Feb 2, 2010). It took about 1 hour from Pecatu. We walked along the beach, stopped to have coffee in Black Canyon Coffee shop in Discovery Shopping Mall, and walked along the beach again. Kuta is quite busy and crowded. It has its own beauty and attractions though. Then, we got bored, badly needed to find a tourist information center since we really didn‘t know where to go. Hey, we found one! got a map too! Cool!

we went to Tanah Lot Temple (Pura Tanah Lot). We went there after having sightseeing on Kuta beach. Well… actually… we didn’t plan to visit the temple. We just decided to go there when we're in Kuta. We asked about the temple in the information center. When we were told that it could be reached in 45 minutes by bike… then… that’s it! We decided to go there. But… with maximum speed 50km/hour, it’s obvious that we couldn’t reach the temple in 45 minutes! But the long ride was worth it. We saw the magnificent Hindu temple and stayed there until the sun set. The temple is located in Beraban village, about 13 km west of Tabanan. Magnificent! That really is!

SANUR Beach on the third day! Sanur Beach is only 6 km from Denpasar. I personally like Sanur better than Kuta. Sanur is quieter and less crowded than Kuta. And when we were there, we saw a Japanese couple (if we’re not mistaken) was having a wedding ceremony in an aquarium! LOL! I mean in ‘wedding pavilion‘. Inna Grand Bali Beach Hotel has ‘Wedding Pavilion’ in its garden. We saw the ceremony and took the pictures from the beach.

It was raining! It was raining cats and dogs when we’re on the way back to nano&yanti’s house from Sanur. It was sooo dark and sooo cold! Gotta find a shelter from the rain…
